The Indiana Pacers added four players during Thursday night's NBA Draft.

With the 31st overall pick, the Pacers selected forward Jalen Hood-Schifino from Indiana University. Hood-Schifino was a key player for the Hoosiers last season, averaging 14.8 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game. He is a versatile player who can score from all three levels and is a good defender. With the 38th overall pick, the Pacers selected guard Terry Taylor from Austin Peay State University. Taylor was a two-time All-Ohio Valley Conference First Team selection and averaged 18.3 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game last season. He is a strong and athletic guard who can score in bunches and is a good rebounder. With the 54th overall pick, the Pacers selected forward Maurice Smith from Western Kentucky University. Smith was a three-time All-Conference USA selection and averaged 16.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game last season. He is a skilled scorer who can shoot from anywhere on the court and is a good rebounder. With the 58th overall pick, the Pacers selected guard John Butler from Florida State University. Butler was a two-time ACC All-Defensive Team selection and averaged 10.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game last season. He is a tough and physical defender who can also score from the outside.

The Pacers are hopeful that these four players can help them improve on their 25-57 record from last season. The Pacers have not made the playoffs since 2018 and are looking to make a return to the postseason soon.
