Early Life and Succession
Kim Jong-un, born on January 8, 1982, 1983, or 1984, is the Supreme Leader of North Korea. The exact year of his birth remains a subject of debate. Kim Jong-il, his father, began grooming him for leadership succession in 2010.
Rise to Power
Following his father's death in December 2011, Kim Jong-un assumed the leadership of North Korea. He became the First Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and the Chairman of the State Affairs Commission. As the Supreme Leader, Kim holds absolute power over the country's political, military, and economic affairs.
